Job description:

- Manages all construction works and BSS/RAN implementation activities and teams in a zone. Ensures CW/Implementation activities and quality meet project requirements and targets.

- Review and approve Site specific drawings (site lay out + equipment installation drawings).

- Management and performance follow up of service supplier teams (CW and TI). Prepares together with cost and progress engineer purchase orders for site works to service suppliers.

- Co-ordinates site design and construction works site deployment activities with SA and TI teams in zone.

- Follow and report the work progress related to time schedule and Quality to zone manager and escalate the deviations.

My client is looking for a strong and dynamic CW leader for an ongoing rollout project.

As well having excellent proven Civil Works experience and background, candidates should have good Ericsson experience and project understanding. You will interact with zone managers, manage material planning Vs Sites to Start (there is a Logistic team in place and ordering/delivery forecasts are also in Place). You will improve quality and control finances, approve invoicing and track acceptance with customer.In order to succeed you must be a strong character, leader with good decision making skills. You should be well organised with the drive and ability to coach the team (they respect leadership and a person who can back them). You will be required to drive the ASP’s on meetings, identify resource gaps, gap analysis, and establish customer confidence within the region.

FOC Design Engineer

The Role You will be providing engineering, design and construction support for outside plant facilities including Backbone FOC and Access Network FOC designs (FTTx, GPON) including the surveys. You will define standard design/Drawing for civil work such as trenching, duct, hand hole/manhole, wadi crossings, road crossing etc. You will generate technical specifications of Fibre optic cable, ODF, joint closures, optical splitters etc. you will also generate as planned drawing and BOQ for civil and cable work. you will coordinate OSP design with Network design (Transmission/Access)and ensure Outside plant Data integrity using GIS and AutoCAD software You will conduct acceptance test for the implemented projects. You will review the design and issue Change orders when necessary. You will also manage the database of outside plant infrastructure, the security and protection of the infrastructure.

Requirements You have BE in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering with experience in Telecom Industry. You have broad Knowledge of Outside Plant Network Design, Mapping and drafting using GIS and AutoCAD. You have good Knowledge of Optical fibre characteristics and civil work techniques. You have a general Knowledge of all transmission technologies including DWDM, SDH, PDH, GPON, Metro Ethernet. You are very cost oriented with the ability to make You are fluent in English. Arabic a plus. Experience in GIS would be a Plus.

The Role Job Purpose: To support the Civil works team in Tendering, Contract Administration, Cost Control and report. Principal Accountabilities / Key Result Areas: • Assist in implementing the procedures with regards to procurement of Consultancy and Contracting requirements of EITC on a day to day basis.. • Preparation of Tender Documents including Bill of Quantities and administration of Tenders in accordance with the procedures of EITC. • Prepare Budget estimates, and detailed estimates based on information provided • Prepare Tender Evaluation reports , identify non compliance, highlight items of significance for negotiations and or Value Engineering to optimize and Control the project costs. • Identify and propose appropriate types and forms of Contract those best suited for the individual projects... • Review Tender documents / Contract Documents prepared by Consultants and report to Manager , Civil works . • Check and evaluate the Variations in accordance with the Contract and report to Manager Civil works . • Site Inspections as necessary for certifying interim payments, variations etc. • Assist in the Contract administration functions as required. • Organize and administer direct procurement of Equipment and materials those are covered under Provisional Sums and or Prime cost items • Coordinate with other members of the team to achieve the deadlines as required from time to time. • Maintain and update a Data base of Contractors, Suppliers and Consultants for the Civil and Infrastructure works. • Maintain and update a Cost information base for the Civil and Infrastructure works to enable budgeting and forecasting functions of the various projects • Assist in timely implementation of all civil works assignments by adopting appropriate Contracting strategies for the Construction/ Consultancy services for the Civil and Infrastructure projects including, transmitter sites, POPs, Office building, ducting for fibre and other infrastructure assignments critical to the launch Sharing responsibility for proposing cost saving measures for the Civil works Contracts and Consultancy Services.

Requirements Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competencies: • Experience in preparation of Tender / Contract documents, Budget and Cost Estimates, experienced in Contract Administration procedures, knowledge of various forms and types of Contract, good communication skills.
