Role Summary

The role holder will be responsible for the Management of a combination of level three categories and below, depending on the size, business impact and complexity of the categories.

The role holder will ensure that Category Strategies are developed, agreed and executed to deliver the optimal cost of ownership for the category, report progress against and deliver savings targets, in line with RBS methodology, and agreed Value Add targets, whilst securing the delivery of projects, goods and services across the category, thus effectively managing risk.

The development of, the buy into and execution of Category Strategies, using the Category Management methodology, where Procurement Models, 1, 2a, b, c,3, 4a and b apply will be a key output of the role.

The role holder will be expected to work with Operations and Enablers to ensure alignment of activities to support Category development and execution, playing a lead role in categories with Operations representatives.

The role holder will ensure that they provide input to level 2 category strategies, where required.

The role holder will be expected to communicate effectively to a range of internal and external stakeholders and where required lead virtual category teams in line with Procurement Model requirements.

Construction Works Manager

Position: Construction Works Manager
Location: Indonesia
Contract Duration: 6 months

Job Role:

General Purpose:

- Responsible for project construction works activities (process, resources, performance and Quality) in NSN customer project & act as line manager
- This role can exist in both National Project HQ level and project regional level.
- Team Establishment
- Build and maintain an organizational structure for the project CW team together with NSN region/sub region CW management organization.
- Customer interface
- Communicate and get approval from Customer for site standard design &details and materials. Interface with customer construction works manager to review and discuss progress and resolve issues.
- Provide required progress information for customer needs. - Participation in customer interfaces and meetings with local authorities as requested by project management. Prepares together with project manager and regional project manager for roll out schedule based on realistic lead times and
fulfilling the target milestones approved by Customer. Ensure construction works and site design activities meet project requirements.
- Ensure construction works resources are properly considered and demand plan is prepared.
- Follow up subcontractor resourcing levels. Prepare and implement corrective action.
- Meetings and reporting
- Supports PM in preparation / updating roll-out schedule. Support PM in preparing Quality Plan and Risk Management
practices related to implementation.
- Participates in "daily" progress meeting with project team.
Reports to project manager all equipment implementation deviations from the original planning, i.e. Extra works, delays, cancellations, etc… Cooperate with network planning, site acquisition, implementation and design manager for development of model sites, site design and site selection to ensure cost efficient site solutions are in use.
- Ensures all local issues are considered and NSN CW standards and guidelines are followed.
- Service supplier interface
- In the project, interface for construction works service suppliers and responsible for following up their performance.
- Support in organizing training for service supplier teams.
- Ensure document control and storage system set up and used properly.
- Ensure legal documents are securely stored. Site Engineering, Customer Organisation, Project Organisation, Partners, Subcontractors, Sourcing, CDS, Global Site Engineering unit.

Site Construction Engineer, Executive

Major Responsibilities
Site Selection visit.
All type construction visit from pile supervision to telecom equipment installations.
Planning and follow up of monthly targeted sites.
BOQ review/checking of all kind civil works.
Inspection of materials like tower, shelter etc.
Coordination and follow-up with contractors and or consultants to complete the project within timeline.

Required Academic Qualifications
B.Sc. in Civil Engineering
Required Experience
2 to 3 years with 1 year in telecom industry.
Required Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of Civil Engineering Design & Construction methodology. Computer skills like MS office, AutoCAD etc. Language skills on English and Bengali.

Construction Manager - Algeria (Construction) - Permanent

Scope- Executing the project construction activities (or part thereof), in line with the project specifications, scope of work, schedule, and client requirements. Leads a team of construction superintendents, and manages the construction subcontractor’s construction managers in completing the subcontracted works, while maintaining the required HSE and Quality standards. Represents Client during the execution of the construction works


Role - Review and understand the project HSE and Quality requirement, scope of work, specifications, and project overall schedule.
Prepares Construction Management Organisation chart, identify key positions, and prepares mobilisation plan, in coordination with Project Director (or Field Project Manager).
Establish clear definition of responsibilities for the construction management personnel.
Reviews and leads the implementation of the project HSE & Quality plans.
Contribute to project constructability review workshops at home office during engineering activities, in coordination with construction support engineer, and subcontractor’s construction managers.
Prepares, in coordination with construction subcontractor’s managers, and the project director, the subcontracting and mobilisation plan.
Prepares the construction schedule in conjunction with the planning engineers with details on specific activities and respective dates of completion.
Ensure the mobilization of all labor, materials and equipment in the most cost effective and efficient manner to achieve the construction objectives.
Commence the construction as per guidelines set and ensure the completion of the same as per the above plan.
Leads the construction management team, fostering continuous inter-discipline coordination to ensure the smooth completion of all activities with minimum interruptions & reworks.
Promotes excellent working relationships with construction subcontractor team members.
Ensures continuous construction work fronts availability through preparation and review of look ahead schedules , commodity charts , engineering deliverables and material delivery schedules
Constantly identify bottlenecks for progress on construction and proactively take action to resolve the same.
Chairs daily , weekly & monthly internal meetings , and ensures action points are liquidated in a timely manner
Carry out any other duties as directed by the reporting supervisor.
Continuously assess, with the QC & HSE managers, the status of Construction Quality & HSE, and ensures timely closures of corrective actions & non conformances.
Coordinate and liaison with client/contractor and certifying and regulatory authorities in order to ensure that the project is in compliance with all requirements.
Ensures proper and timely hand over of systems / subsystems to commissioning teams, and provide assistance as required.
Continuous performance assessment of subordinates, giving them feed back on their performances, their strengths and weaknesses, giving them clear guidance on areas where they should improve. Ensures that this system is cascaded down in his organization at site.
Reviews lessons learned recorded by construction superintendents, chairs review sessions, and raise the final list to superior for further action.
Education - Engineering Degree in Mechanical / Civil, with a minimum of 20 years experience in Construction.

Role Description

As a Supervisor you will supervise ASP/SP personnel according to different procedures. The procedures are depending on what job which shall be

performed. The job can be in area like Installation Technician for Radio or Switch, Mentoring of ASP, Certification of ASP, Quality Audit or Extended

Audit of site.

Supervisor undertakes the work on site for different projects on the global market.

Main activities


• Manage and supervise the work on site in accordance to Ericsson procedures and Contract.

• Ensure working according to instructions and manuals given by Ericsson.

• Do the pre inspection.

• Perform verification.

• Write claims, order and return materials.

• Provide accurate status information on the progress to project management.

• Supervise during work ongoing on live where risk of disturbances in customer premises is high.

• Check that the working environment is maintained at an acceptable level, carry of safety inspections and ensure that tools etcetera is in good condition.

• Cooperate with Engineer to confirm schedule activates and trouble shooting.

• Work as a Mentor when required.

• Perform practical Certification for approval of ASP staff.

• To introduce and train new staff (OJT).
