DescriptionOn behalf of our client we are looking for a Civil Design Telecom Engineer to work in Infrastructure Investment’s Telecoms Function. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly close knit team and work on a fast-moving telecoms rollout project. 

The FTN/GSM-R Project is a national project to deliver a Fixed Telecoms Network and over 2000 base stations across the UK. 

Working in the Design Site Clearance team as a Civil Design Engineer, you will be involved in the day to day management of design, review and acceptance of NTPO Civil Engineering works for the project. 

This will involve liaising with the regional LPDO’s and their Contractors. 

The successful candidate will also be involved in the development and design of new standard products and generic designs which can be used by the project across the country. 

Essential Requirements: 

  • Chartered Civil Engineer 
  • Knowledge of Network Rail acceptance review and approval processes 
  • Knowledge of Network Rail standard design requirements 
  • Previous experience of reviewing Civil Telecoms Designs (monopoles / latis towers / telecom foundation designs etc) 
  • Background in Railway and / or Telecoms Civils Design 

    This role does not need to have PTS, but may be an additional advantage.
