Since 1985 I have worked in Civil/Telecommunications in both the Telecommunications and the Oil & Gas industry, associated with Access Network Technologies including, Optical Fibre Networks, Copper Networks, Mobile, Fixed and Instrumentation Technologies. Civil construction of external networks and internal Installations such as CAT5, 6, and CAT 7 and FTTX, Mechanical Installations for Cable Run Ways, EMT Conduits, Outlets, and testing.
Project Management and consulting on large Telecommunication Network Expansion projects
Project Control and Quality Management. Negotiating prices for materials, ensuring specification is met and maintained.
Work experience includes daily operations and management of construction and design departments within large Telecommunication and construction companies. Dealing with International and local companies for daily interface and site meetings.
Supervision of civil works and Optical Fibre open ring structures for RAN’s, Long Distance Networks (Back Bones) and mobile Infrastructure.
Review and check specification of Contractors MoP’s / Work Packages, SJA and Work Permits.
Consulting for the Eritrean government on a fibre link along the railway from Asmara to Malawi
Technical Specifications for Civil and Network implementation.
Acceptance Testing, (PAT, PMCC, MCC, FAT) Quality and Quantity measurements for Civil and Network installations.
Supervision of all civil works for OSP, IDAS, SACS, Buildings, Tower and container foundations from Green Field to Brown Fields.
Contract management of issues related to Network implementation
