Details TEKsystems is currently looking for a Construction Works Manager for a 6 month contract opportunity with one of our Telecommunication clients in Ottawa. This opportunity is looking to start immediately and has a strong possibility of an extension. 
The ideal candidate will be responsible for directly managing and supervising a limited number of sites and a limited number of subcontractors on a project. The Construction Supervisor will be responsible for the on-time delivery of all project milestones and for obtaining all project quality standards. Scope of responsibilities will range from working with the Site Acquisition Department to review Permit Drawings and Construction Drawings to delivering a site that is Ready for Installation to the Implementation Supervisor. The Construction Supervisor will also trouble-shoot site related problems throughout the Construction Process. 
Responsibilities:
-Monitor supply of Subcontractor provided materials. 
-Order provided materials from Logistics Department· 
-Evaluate construction subcontractors according to the fixed Scope of Work and project goals. 
-Complied with the construction processes and the defined time.
Required Qualifications:
-Two (2) years experience in telecommunication project management or telecommunications construction work. Project experience required. 
-Strong subcontractor management and decision making skills. 
-Ability to work independently under extreme pressure with tight timeframe\'s. 
-Accurate, reliable, self-confident and firm. 
-Strong understanding of basic construction principles. 
-Ideal candidate must have their own computer, cell phone, GPS & Compass, Laser rangefinder, Camera, & Vehicle.
