SLA Control Manager

The Role

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Build a department comprised of mostly local staff to track supplier performance against SLAs agreed on for the following (by not limited to) types of contracts:
a. Maintenance Contracts
b. Outsourced Services Contracts
c. Civil Works Contracts
d. Supply Contracts

2. Build cases for penalties resulting from non-conformances to SLAs by Suppliers/Service Providers/Subcontractors/Consultancy Services, by assessing such things as:
a. Long MTTRs
b. Delays in Civil Builds
c. Poor quality of equipment (observed via availability rates, KPIs, required maintenance, etc)
d. Long equipment Delivery times
e. Network Faults related to vendor
f. Long Repair and Return times
g. Revenue Leakage reported by Revenue Assurance
h. Short equipment lifetimes
i. Inefficient Power Usage

3. Work with the KPI team to link KPI target deficiencies to SLA non-conformances and creatively calculate resulting possible revenue loss

4. Work with the Revenue Assurance department to asses if discovered revenue leakage issues are due to SLA none-conformances and calculate appropriate penalties

5. Use his/her Telecoms and contracts knowledge to provide input for setting appropriate SLAs in contracts related to Telecom Vendors, Subcontractors, and Service Providers

6. Work with the Database Development team to implement tools for tracking SLAs

7. Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and training to members of his/her team.

Supervisory Responsibilities: 
Recruit, lead, mentor, and manage the SLA Control. 
Requirements

Skills & Capabilities:
1. Have prior experience dealing with contracts for a Mobile Network Operator 
2. Posses understanding of the legal and financial implications of Contracts and Vendor relationships
3. Working knowledge of GSM Network Subsystems and knowledge of Telecommunications Infrastructure for products and services being provided by the Vendor(s), subcontractors and Service Providers for areas such as Access Networks, Core Networks, Site Civil works, Network Audit and Network Optimization consulting, and others.
4. Have experience in leading a team to achieve department goals

Education: 
- Preferred to have an Engineering degree with experience in Financial and contractual-related matters pertaining to SLAs, however other education will be considered so long as it is coupled with the right experience.

Experience: 
4+ Years experience in a GSM Network Operator in a similar role
